A couple of days ago. I'm looking for information on the Chicco Keyfit 30 Car Seat Romantic, so i would like to describe here.
We bought the Chicco travel system in "romantic." However, I don't know why they call it the "romantic", because there is nothing romantic about this color scheme. black and gray. very neutral hides dirt, matches my dark gray interior. My son fits very comfortably in this car seat. the pull-string feature makes it very easy to tighten or loosen the straps. little shells on the straps prevent them from digging in her neck. the fabric is very durable and easy to clean. the base fits so very secure with the locking system on my 2002 Honda CRV. It can also be installed tightly enough using seat belts. the base includes little bubble levels, so you know it's installed correctly. the seat clicks into base unit very firmly, but is also easy to remove by tightening the release on the back of the seat behind the baby's head. the seat can be used without the base and secured in a car with seat belts; I'm not too thrilled with the overall security of this agreement. My husband has used this feature about three times when she had the baby and the carrier and had to go somewhere while I was using the family car. We feel that it is quite safe to travel very slow speed on residential streets, but would not feel comfortable enough to travel on roads or highways without the base. as a carrier, I find that it is not too heavy or cumbersome, even though I'm only 5 ' 2 ". the handle is comfortable for me and my small hands and to my husband and giant paws. I'm sorry to say that my son is extremely high for a 5-month-old and already is 30 inches tall. the guidelines here say that should last until the child is 30 lbs. or 30 inches tall. Read more ›
